This is such a conversation piece. Stir the imagination of your guests and especially the young ones with a collection of meteorites. Housed in a primitive wooden box juxtaposed to the heavy, shiny metal meteorites. This is a collection that can be simply compiled and displayed. Tell your friends that you would like to show them three aliens that are not from this planet. That they have traveled longer and farther than anything on earth to be here. Ask the young people if they know what an alien is and if they have ever seen one. Explain to your captive audients that the only true aliens that exist on earth are meteorites from the vast universe. Express how big the universe is and then ask them if they would like to hold them. Touching them amazes not only the young ones but also the well-seasoned.

Campo del Cielo Meteorite
The Campo del Cielo meteorite consist of a fragmented family of meteorites strewn over an area of 2 miles by 12 miles in the northern area of Argentina. Estimated to have impacted the earth some 4000 to 5000 years ago (3000 - 2000 BC) the meteoric composition consist of approximately 90% Iron and 10% Nickel. Like many other iron meteorites, scientists believe that the Campo del Cielo mass originated from the asteroid belt located between Mars and Jupiter. They also believe that the age of the meteorite to be about that of the earth and formed during the same time 4.5 billion years ago. Fragment pieces of the Campo del Cielo meteorite field are very rare. The meteorites are siderites, or metallic. Only 5% of the world's meteorites have such properties. The metaphysical properties of these meteorites provide an energy that pushes one to completely break down their idea of themselves (and who they are) so they can begin to rebuild the true image of themselves.
